McCollum Hardware is looking to hire a full- time Sales Associate. We are looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual with strong communication skills. Experience in retail or hardware preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate! This position will have opportunities for growth in business management. Preference will be given to candidates with a passion for the outdoors and agriculture. Education/Training High School or GED equivalent. Physical Demands: Must be able to lift more than 45lbs and stand for long periods of time. Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday and every other Saturday. Pay based on experience. Additional compensation includes store discounts. Position open until filled. General Job Description: • Customer Service. Positively represent McCollum Hardware by greeting customers by name when possible and assisting with them by solving problems. Thank customers for their purchase or inquiry. • Answer the phone and ensure each call is addressed promptly and thoroughly. • Know store layout and product location. Have strong product knowledge. • General computer knowledge to check out customers and count back change. • Assist with ordering and stocking of merchandise. • Assist with daily orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor. • Unload freight. May be required after hours. Operate forklift with proper training. • Repair, deliver and install appliances and grills. Training certificate may be required. • Mix and match paint. Give accurate quotes and advice. • Be professional in appearance and actions. • Perform all other duties as assigned.
